What They Say …
I absolutely love the Cat and the Fiddle and I think that the large shade will be a superb prize for our auction.
I take such joy in buying from the Country Child’s Co. range and I found my All Time favourite lamp (the jumping frogs) at the Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas fair! It brings us all such joy!
I’ve received my lampshade and it’s gorgeous –I love it! The glow from it is so warm and cosy. thank you so much! I may come back to you for a smaller size in due course Have a lovely Christmas!! 😊
Our Story
My mother drew dogs on parchment candle shades with ink. As the animals shine through and look out at us intently, her personality and love also shines through.
When our son was born, I searched for lampshades for his bedroom, and couldn’t find any on the market which were alive for children, with engagingly drawn images. I recalled my mother’s approach and so the idea came to me to create my own.
Your memories will be in these shades as well and I hope you enjoy them.

Sustainability
Sustainability lies at the heart of all of our activities. In our manufacturing and packaging we use organic cotton, eco ink, acid-free ph-neutral tissue paper, eco boxes, paper bags and our labels, cards and parchment paper are plastic free. Our lamp stands are manufactured in the UK.
We source, make, pack and deliver with the environment in mind and we are always seeking new ways to further reduce the impact of everything we do.
We want to help sustain the diversity of the countryside which inspired the countryside drawings on the lampshades, so we regularly donate to MoorTrees Charity who grow trees from locally collected seeds and then use them to recreate woodland on Dartmoor and in South Devon.
